Gaskell Recreation Ground – Creation of New Path

Gaskell Recreation Ground

Creation of New Path

Work is currently under way to create a new path on the Gaskell Recreation Ground.  The work is expected to take around two weeks.  The path will connect with the Linden Walk, forming a rectangular route around the perimeter of the Gaskell Ground.

The top surface of the path will be made of porous tarmac, allowing water to drain through, and it will provide a dry route around the edge of the Gaskell Ground in all weathers. The path will be wide enough to accommodate mobility scooters as well as pedestrians and those with pushchairs or wheelchairs.

Please take care during the works and respect the temporary boundaries, which are there for your safety.

Please continue to follow government advice regarding the coronavirus outbreak and maintain a distance of at least 2 metres (6 feet) from other visitors to the Gaskell Ground.

Thank you for your co-operation.
