Plastic Free Champions

Whilst visiting Much Wenlock on Friday 28th January, MP Philip Dunne, along with Mayor Dan Thomas, Councillor Duncan White and Jacky Walter, local organiser for Surfers against Sewage, gave congratulations and presented local business owners with Plastic Free Champion certificates. Those receiving certificates were Robyn Moore from The Hair Gallery, Sam Beech from The Simple Life Unwrapped and Pippa Walker from The Manor House B & B. Much Wenlock now has three Plastic Free Champions who have all pledged to reduce their single use plastic consumption and have received accreditation and a plaque from Surfers Against Sewage Plastic Free Communities for their efforts. Much Wenlock is well on its way to becoming a plastic free town!

If your business would like to come on board and help the environment, you can find more information and sign up for a free toolkit  by reading more about the scheme here https://plasticfree.org.uk/
