Winners of the poster competition in commemoration of the ending of WW1

The Mayor, Cllr. Graham Edgcumbe Venning and Cllr. Mary Hill were delighted to attend Much Wenlock Primary  School and present prizes to year 6 pupils in recognition of the posters they had prepared in commemoration of the ending of the Great War. Winners received a specially minted coin from the Royal Mint in commemoration of the war’s ending 100 years ago and runners up were presented with poetry books. The Mayor and Cllr. Mary Hill said that it had been a very difficult competition to judge as all entries had been of a very high standard. All pupils should be highly commended and congratulated for their efforts and that it was encouraging that all these youngsters had taken such a keen interest.
